The Votorantim Leadership System (SLV) is an integrated model created to fulfill the requirements of the business strategy of Votorantim Industrial (VID) as refers to the development of leaderships. Its main objectives are:

. To promote the constant dissemination of the Group’s Values;

. To develop a culture geared towards people management combined with the excellence of operations and a focus on results;

. To permit the better use of VID’s Human Capital and;

. To guarantee, on time, the necessary number of people with a suitable profile for the growth plan.

In the current scenario of competitiveness, Votorantim’s leaders should be focused on the obtainment of the best results, but should do so in such a way as to integrate people, motivate teamwork, stimulate the continuous growth of their teams and facilitate innovation, as a means of guaranteeing the organization’s future.

Accordingly, the profile of the Votorantim leader is based on a set of Competencies that should permit the improvement of his or her results, but also on a Style, that serves as a guideline for the way this person builds relationships with people and how he or she influences the environment.

 

With a basis on this profile, the system establishes a career development roadmap – designated pipeline – that indicates relevant milestones and challenges in the growth of leaderships and the aspects to be developed in each stage of this development, whether for an upgrade in the current position, or for preparation for a new opportunity.

In practice, SLV ensures that employees, whether they occupy positions of leadership or not, know the path to take and the attributes to be developed to grow at Votorantim. This transparency stimulates and guides career ascension, whereby the system is not only a tool for the management of leaders, but also of people.
