Best Family Business in the World (IMD-LODH Award) – 2005 IMD Business School e Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch The Votorantim Group was the first Latin American company to receive the most important international award granted to family businesses: the IMD-LODH Award. Obtained in 2005, the mark of esteem is offered by the Swiss institute IMD Business School, one of the world leaders in the development of executives, in partnership with Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch, a Swiss bank that is also run by a family. The award pays tribute to international companies that have been successful in mixing family and business interests. The criteria of choice include:- continuous family control for at least three generations;- good results, international participation and leadership in markets;- citizen corporate practices, with actions of social responsibility and a concern with sustainable development;- track record of success that incorporates innovation in its business.
