Citrosuco and Citrovita announce that CADE approved, this Wednesday, the merger of their orange juice businesses under the terms of the association agreement signed by the companies in May 2010.  CADE conditioned its approval to the parties' commitment to take on certain information transparency-related obligations and to maintain their orchards. Nonetheless, CADE's approval will allow for the complete integration of the companies' operations, leading to the creation of an orange juice company that will lead the industry, with exports to several countries and generating important foreign currency for Brazil. The companies maintain their firm commitment with the development of Brazilian citrus farming and will seek to strengthen the industry in the development of their activities, now integrated in a new company.
