Fibria, a Brazilian company that is the world leader in the eucalyptus pulp market, held a meeting with analysts and investors at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Tuesday, December 3. The CEO, Marcelo Castelli, and other directors represented the company at the annual Fibria Day event which has now been held three times. Fibria rang the closing bell to end the NYSE trading session on the eve of the event.
Among the subjects highlighted were the company´s plans to grow whether through consolidation or expanding its plant at Três Lagoas (Mato Gross do Sul state) and its business diversification strategy. Two recently agreed partnerships in the innovation area were announced: with Embraer on technological cooperation in the renewable materials segment and with SweTree Technologies to develop improved clones for eucalyptus.
The senior management also presented the prospects for the pulp market and announced an important indicator for next year when the company expects to increase its capital investment by around 25% over its current level.
New application – Fibria also officially launched its Investor Relations application during Fibria Day which aims to create another interactive channel with shareholders, analysts and investors. The mobile application will make it easier to access financial and strategic information about the company, thereby strengthening its credence in Open Dialogue and transparency with the capital markets.
