<p>Banco Votorantim governance will be shared, with the formation of an Administrative Council compounded by three members from each part. Partnership will not provoke, however, changes on the current direction of the companies which are part of Votorantim Finances – Banco Votorantim (bank), BV Financeira (financing), Votorantim Corretora (broker), Votorantim Asset Management and remainder controlled companies. Current businesses and policies will not suffer any modification as well. <br>  <br>This strategic partnership is based on a strong business rationale and long term vision, and must accelerate, strengthen and perennates even more Banco Votorantim success.</p></div>

<div><b>Conteúdo:</b> <p>For years BV Financeira has made leaders’ training a priority in the company for believing that the construction of a profile aligned to its style significantly depends on managers. This positioning is one of the positive points which ranked BV first again in Valor Carreira, in the category of companies having form 4,001 to 10,000 employees. The financial company was ranked first also in 2007 and 2006, and in 2005 it was ranked second in the group from 1,001 to 2,000 employees.</p>
<p>One of the main points highlighted by the company is, according to consulting firm Hewitt Associates in a partnership entered into with Valor Econômico newspaper, the agile decision-making process even in view of the exponential growth achieved by BV. With more than 3 million active customers, the company counts on 61 branches and 94 stores all over Brazil. It currently manages a portfolio of nearly R$20 billion.<br>In 2007, BV Financeira accounted for nearly 30% of Banco Votorantim’s profit, which reached R$1.16 billion – 15.1% higher than the comparison with the previous year. Currently, the vehicle area accounts for 82% of the financial company’s businesses, which holds a 21% share in the country’s car market.<br> <br>These are figures which, according to BV human resource superintendent Rosemery Deliberato’s assessment, reflect the good practices adopted in the relationship with employees. Among them, she highlights performance goals, equal opportunities for professional development and a compensation policy linked to results. &quot;These are the main factors which made our people management policy become a strategic line with BV’s businesses.&quot; The item performance assessment, for instance, reached a level of 84%, the highest one in the Hewitt/Valor survey.<br> <br>In the training area, BV has among its main qualification programs the managing development, of leadership and also individual, in addition to executive coaching and courses of operating and executive management qualification. The incentive policy also comprises graduation and post-graduation.<br> <br>BV also invests in the closer relationship with the HR management, a measure which facilitates obtaining feedback and is reproduced at the branches. Thus, it usually promotes interchange among professionals to share experiences.<br>The conditions to qualify and retain talents, however, go beyond qualification. The Employee Support Program offers free phone service 24/7, both for employees and their families when undergoing difficulties, be it psychological, legal or financial. There are other channels, such as RH Com Você (“HR With You”), which enable direct contact to answer questions or simply formalize complaints.<br>The results of this effort are measured by internal surveys in which employees assess leaders. In 2002, the average granted was 7.6. In 2007, it was 8.5.<br> <br>Another topic assessed by BV is the organization climate. The survey is made by means of blocks of questions directly answered by the employees. The growing adhesion to surveys reflect the credibility achieved by this type of tool, which only works because it is translated into actual changes which identifies flaws.<br> <br><strong>Citrovita also stands out</strong><br>Elected the fourth best company in the category from 1,001 to 2,000 employees, Citrovita also celebrates the result, which reflects the belief in the value of individual contributions and, subsequently, in the relationship it cultivates.<br> <br>In order to achieve the results, Hewitt made a qualitative survey to measure the practices in people management and the employees’ commitment to the company. The goal of the initiative was to assess criteria such as professionals’ motivation, transparency, work environment and quality of life. <div><b>Conteúdo:</b> <p>The 13th issue of the ranking of the 150 Best Places to Work published in Guia Você S/A, created in partnership with FIA - Fundação Instituto de Administração of São Paulo University (Brazil), included two companies from the Votorantim Group. BV Financeira and Votorantim Cement are featured in this survey of personnel management which is the largest of its kind in Brazil and involved more than 143,000 companies. The award presentation ceremony took place in the Alfa Theater, São Paulo, on September 9.</p>
<p>It was the second consecutive year in which BV Financeira appeared on the list. The company was ranked sixth, with the highest ratio of staff being happy at work (86.9%) of all the financial institutions operating in Brazil. The guide highlighted the company´s transparency in relation to its internal communication and its meritocratic system which recognizes the results of each professional.</p>
<p>Votorantim Cement starred on its debut in the ranking, with a high ratio of employees who identified with the company (83.9%). It was regarded as outstanding, thanks to its consistent work in overseeing the performance of employees over the years, investments in training and development, committees which discuss half-yearly pay increases, benefits package, and innovation program which presents awards to its employees for good ideas.The guide is published annually by the two largest management and business magazines in Brazil.</p></div>
