Based on the values, beliefs and the Code of Conduct that define the essential elements that must exist in the companies’ and their employees’ relationships with different stakeholders, a Compliance Program has been in effect since 2013.
In this regard, the Anti-corruption pillar of the Compliance Program has continued to evolve, consolidating the commitment to the constant search for best practices while encouraging the fight against corruption and the damage it causes in the political, economic and social spheres. The purpose is draw the attention of all employees to the extent and relevance of this issue, ensuring that its efficacy leads to the protection and preservation of value for the companies.
Votorantim encourages employees to come forward where any suspicions of illegal acts arise and, since 2006, it has provided the Ethics Line as channel available to all employees. The Ethics Line provides a means for confidential an anonymous whistleblowing. All reports are investigated and directed according to the internal policies and current legislation. Votorantim’s programs and policies continue to evolve, based on good practices and adaptation to new realities.
