The company’s leadership in primary aluminum in Brazil was consolidated in 2008 through the roll-out of 475,000 tons/year in the world’s largest integrated aluminum plant: CBA (Companhia Brasileira de Alumínio).

In 2010, based on a scenario of growth in the domestic market, Metalex was acquired, having added volume and aluminum recycling operations, as alternative to increase share in the growing Brazilian market.

Products: ingots, billets, rods, coils, sheets and plates.

Production plants: 1 factory, 3 mining and processing facilities, ownership interest in three aluminum companies in Brazil - Metalúrgica Atlas (aluminum works), Alunorte (refinery) e Mineração Rio Norte (bauxite mine).
