Sustainability in Business

Citrosuco has published its 2023/2024 ESG & Business Annual Report, which incorporates sustainability requirements from the European Union. In the social sphere, the company highlights over BRL 2.4 million invested in programs within its areas of operation. In corporate governance, USD 350 million were secured through loans tied to ESG goals. Environmental achievements include an 18% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in scopes 1 and 2, and 57% of energy consumption coming from renewable sources. Read more here.

Gold Seal

Once again, Votorantim Cimentos has earned the Gold Seal from the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program, awarded to companies that demonstrate excellence in GHG emissions management and best practices in transparency when publishing their inventories on the subject. This recognition reinforces the company’s commitment to competitiveness in the climate change agenda and strengthens its dedication to being part of the solution for the planet’s decarbonization.

Education and Nature

Motiva was one of the main sponsors of the fourth edition of TEDxAmazônia, held in Belém (PA). At the event, the company launched the Nature-Based Schools project, which offers free continuing education and teaching materials to elementary school teachers and administrators in public schools across the country. The pedagogical approach places the environment at the center of learning. The program is already the largest private nature-based education project in Brazil, with a presence in schools across 280 municipalities nationwide. Learn more (in Portuguese).
